About Nieves Millar



Nieves is a Southern California native and a proud graduate of UCLA, where she earned her degree in Architecture & Interior Design.  Her love for family, friends, traveling, wine tasting, the beach, sailing, horseback riding, sports and all things outdoors reflects her vibrant personality and adventurous spirit.

Renowned for her expertise in luxury residential and hospitality design, Nieves has established herself as a distinguished interior designer with a global presence.  Guided by the philosophy of tailoring design to the unique essence of each project, Nieves thrives on creating environments that are distinctive, individually crafted, and aesthetically captivating.  She prioritizes achieving a design that resonates with its purpose and space, rather than adhering to a singular style or genre.

Nieves' career journey began in the hospitality industry, where she gained invaluable experience working with renowned firms and contributed to major projects with Barry Design Associates, including the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix, AZ, The Peabody Memphis and Orlando hotels, and the Hyatt Classic Residence in La Jolla, CA, serving as a Senior Designer.  At Hirsch Bedner Associates in Los Angeles, Nieves further honed her expertise by focusing on luxury residential towers and creating exquisite show villas in Shantou and Harbin, China.  Her career also extended to Princess Cruises, where she successfully managed design projects for four of their ships: Crown, Ruby, Island and Coral.

Now specializing in luxury lifestyle residential design projects, Nieves incorporates her extensive hospitality design background in her work.  She curates bespoke lifestyle experiences by crafting one-of-a-kind elements, such as art pieces, glass sculptures, lighting, furniture and area rugs, that redefine luxury and elevating each design to a new level of sophistication. 

 

Nieves' exceptional work has earned national and international recognition, reflecting her commitment to excellence and innovation with publications such as Trends Ideas in the USA and New Zealand showcasing her unique contributions to the world of design.
